  •      Hermaphrodite. Have both male and female reproductive cells. Produce both sperms and egg

  •    · Don’t have lungs. Use their skin to breathe.
  •    · Skin of earthworm dries in extreme hot and cold conditions and it dies. Reasons why earthworm cannot survive in extreme cold and desert area
  •    · Secrete slime, which is nitrogen rich. Helps in enhancing the fertility of soil
  •   · Don’t have teeth. Do have strong mouth muscle that help to swallow soil.
  •         Has a brain, five hearts, breathes through skin
  •         Can burrow as deep as fifteen feet\
  •         Help aerate the soil
  •         Worm tunnels allow more water to enter the soil
  •         Worm tunnels allow air enter the soil.
  •         Worm tunnels make it easier for roots and plants to grow.
  •         It has been shown to have far fewer parasitic nematodes than soil without earthworms. Many other soil borne diseases also appear to be reduced

  • also know as the bristle worm 
  • the outer surface of the body wall consist of a simple columnar epithelium covered by a thin cuticle 
  • the body is often brightly coloured
     3. class hirudinea( leech )
  • their bodies are much more solid as the space in their coelom are dense with connective tissue
  • they also have two sucker one at each end 
  • leecha are hermaphorodites , meaning each has both female and male reproductive organ 
  •  leech use their anterior suckers to connect to hosts for feeding
